Call For Works


The San Francisco Tape Music Collective is seeking "fixed" electroacoustic works (aka tape pieces) for possible performance in our next festival.
All pieces in the festival are projected over a 16+ speaker system capable of BEAST-style diffusion of stereo works, multi-channel works, and works in B-format ambisonics.

We consider works of any length.
We will only consider a maximum of TWO works per submission.
We accept submissions throughout the year, however to be considered for the January 2011 Festival,
your submission must be emailed/postmarked no later than August 31st, 2010




TO SUBMIT YOUR WORK

Please email tapecenter@sfsound.org (subject: Tape Festival Submission)
+ Title, Duration, and Format of submitted work(s).
+ Notes for the printed program.
+ A brief biography for the printed program.
+ Your web site address.
+ Any performance instructions.
+ Link to mp3 file(s) of the submitted work(s). (optional, but strongly encouraged as the panel will have more time to review your work!)

And mail:
+ Printed copy of emailed material. (optional)
+ Audio CD* of the work(s) to be considered - please place the tracks in the order they should be considered.
+ If you would like us to broadcast your works on our internet stream, sfSoundRadio, please put in writing that you grant us permission to broadcast royalty-free.
(We do NOT pay ASCAP/BMI/Soundexchange/etc rights for the radio stream.)

Materials will not be returned unless a self-addressed envelope with sufficient postage is included.

*) a Data CD-R or DVD-R may be submitted for multichannel or higher bit/samplerate files,
however please still include an Audio CD of a stereo mix for the review panel!

Being a non-funded, non-academic collective, we kindly ask that you make a donation with your submission.
It is NOT a requirement, but will help make the next festival be that much better!
